Move up the Grade Boundry in GCSE Science
Grade Boost Tutors were set up in 2025 to help students attain excellent grades in GCSE Science. With over 15 years of teaching experience we will help students move confidently up the grade boundary. We do this by teaching students 'the art of answering difficult exam questions' so that students can feel confident when entering the exam hall. Join us on 'the program' a 6 week series of online sessions or book a 1:1 session specialising in a topic of your choice.
Our Story
The Boost Academy was set up in 2025 by Paul Larkin. Having taught Science in Comprehensive Schools in London and then Bristol Paul started to realise that even with really good subject knowledge some students were not attaining top grades. Through 15 + years of experience of marking GCSE papers Paul realised that unless students knew exactly what the examiner was looking for students might miss the mark. I ask you how many of you still drive with the 10-2 position on the steering wheel? Well guess what the same is true for getting great grades in GCSE Science. With the addition of numbered grades in GCSE Science in 2017 and the onset of Covid in 2019 its never been more challenging improve your grade.
